How Group Buys Work
Create a Group Buy
Create a Group Buy for global market or a particular target market, specify a title and purpose of your Group Buy. Choose local or international.
Add a Product
Browse through the relevant categories to choose a product and add to your Group Buy. Enter proposed order quantity and the system calculates required participants and unit cost.
Invite Buyers
Upon creating a new Group Buy, a unique Group Buy link is generated for you. Use it to invite friends, family and other potential buyers to join your group.
Manage & Save
Creating a Group Buy makes you a group admin with access to join request approvals, discount negotiations with suppliers, and group chat management.
Group Buy Features & Rules
Group Admin Controls
As group admin, you can approve join requests, negotiate further discounts and MOQ with suppliers on behalf of your group members. The system also automatically adds the supplier to your group chat room.
Post Product Reviews
As group admin, you can post a product review after ordering and checking a sample of the product you intend to add to your group buy — helping members make informed decisions.
Watch Button
Buyers can click the Watch button to stay informed and receive progress information about a group buy without committing immediately.
Fair Usage Policy
When a buyer joins in and leaves a particular group repeatedly, this could be considered malicious activity and perpetrators could be banned pending a valid reason to get unbanned.
Automatic Group Chats
Group chats are automatically created for each new group buy to facilitate effective communication amongst members, admins, and the product supplier — powered by TradeChatApp.
Extra Discounts
Apart from the usual wholesale discounts, group buy products come with extra discounts provided by suppliers based on the stipulated number of buyers in a group. More buyers = more savings!
Flexible Membership
Buyers can join any group buy from the listings pending approval by group admin, and can also leave the group within few days of joining without penalty.
Local & International
Group Buys can be created as local group buys with local products (good for faster shipping) or as international group buys for imports from global suppliers.
Limited Time Offers
All Group Buys have expiry dates — the special discounts for group buy products can only be made available from suppliers for a limited time. Don't miss out!
